reviews: It takes a pretty special band to have me calling them one of my favourites after only one single but then Brittany's Osaka have that special undefinable something that captivates and enthralls. Yannick and Sebastien again weave a warm instrumental magic on both tracks on this 7". An organ on "Kalispera Ohio" throbs and pulsates gently while a lovely minimal guitar melody establishes a mood of serenity and ends up lost in atmospheric debris ... sounds that make me think of bamboo snapping and rain hissing on hot pavements. "Myriad of Hondas" is even more beautiful. Electrical hum, smothered screech of an overdriven delay pedal, more of that gorgeous guitar and childlike organ and another delicate build that sends shivers up your spine ... close your eyes and you could be lying under an expansive sky watching falling stars. Filled with hypnotic pulses and delicate melodies, Kalispera Ohio creates some wonderful atmospherics with a melody delicately played on guitar. As the track approaches it's end some mysterious vocals fade in from behind the reverb drenched organ to great effect.
